What are my options for an e-book reader?

I am thinking of buying an e-book reader. I wonder: a) What are the models today? (I know the Kindle and Sony Reader eBook) b) is now a good time to buy? (Is there any future versions of e-book readers, or the new generation c) What e-book reader is the best and why? (price, Batt life, features, etc)

a) They Kindle 2, DX Kindle, Sony PRS300, Sony PRS600. Other models, the Amazon Kindle and Sony Reader are the two most popular, others are not only comparable in terms of price and functions. b) I bought my Kindle 2 a few months ago. It has a price drop of $ 60 recently. For me, I still think is a good time for me to buy at that time because I have enjoyed the comfort he brought me these few months. Only now is even better time. DX Kindle Amazon announced two to three months ago, Sony just announced and PRS300 Reader PRS600. Apparently, there will be no new model soon. First is that there are more books available for Kindle. Second are Kindle books are much cheaper than books Sony Reader. The third is the text to speech function available only on the Kindle. The fourth is the free unlimited wireless access the Kindle is definitely a great advantage. I do not think the touch screen Sony PRS600 is a benefit because a lot of people say it is the glare off the screen of the Kindle.
